Sarvam AI makes major announcements
Sarvam AI has introduced India's first open-source foundational model, Sarvam 2B, which is designed to support 10 major Indic languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and others. The model, trained on a massive dataset of 4 trillion tokens, is geared toward enhancing AI capabilities in multilingual tasks like translation, summarization, and more. This initiative marks a significant step in making AI more accessible and effective across India's linguistically diverse population.
Alongside Sarvam 2B, Sarvam AI has also launched Shuka 1.0, an open-source audio language model that facilitates voice interactions in Indian languages. This model is particularly useful for creating voice-enabled AI applications, expanding the possibilities for AI-driven solutions in business and communication. Additionally, Sarvam Agents, voice-based AI agents, have been introduced to cater to various business needs, further showcasing the company's commitment to advancing AI technology in India.
