Welcome to Issue #72 of One Minute AI, your daily AI news companion. This issue discusses a recent announcement from Mistral and NVIDIA.
Introducing Mistral NeMo
Mistral AI, in collaboration with NVIDIA, has introduced Mistral NeMo, a cutting-edge 12 billion parameter model with a 128k token context window. Released under the Apache 2.0 license, it is a state-of-the-art model for its size, offering high accuracy in reasoning, coding, and world knowledge. It supports multiple languages, including English, French, and Hindi, and utilizes a new tokenizer, Tekken, for more efficient text compression. The model is instruction-tuned and optimized for FP8 inference, making it an excellent choice for both researchers and enterprises.
Mistral NeMo is designed for easy integration and replaces Mistral 7B seamlessly. It includes pre-trained base and instruction-tuned checkpoints to facilitate adoption. The model's multilingual capabilities and advanced fine-tuning allow it to excel in various applications, particularly in global and multilingual contexts. Additionally, Mistral NeMo is available on HuggingFace (base and instruct models) and NVIDIA's AI platform, ensuring broad accessibility and ease of use for developers aiming to leverage its advanced features.
