Meta opens AI chatbot access in India and Africa, Twilio announces platform to build customer-aware autonomous assistants
Welcome to Issue #4 of One Minute AI, your daily AI news companion. This issue will cover two major announcements in the world of chatbots from Meta and Twilio.
Meta trials AI chatbot across products in India and Africa
As a part of Meta’s efforts to integrate Llama 3 across their product ecosystem, they recently launched trials of the upcoming Meta AI for users across India and Africa on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
Meta AI provides you with an LLM-powered chatbot to directly interact with or use in individual or group chats with other users, featuring answers based on information discovered on Bing.
Twilio announces platform to build customer-facing AI agents
Earlier today, Twilio announced the Developer Preview of a new framework to build customer-facing AI assistants called Twilio AI Assistants.
At the core of Twilio AI Assistants resides a distinctive customer-aware approach facilitated by Customer Memory. This feature handles the conversation history between a user and an Assistant and uses Twilio’s AI Perception Engine and AI Personalization Engine to create customer profiles that can be augmented and referenced using Segment.
