Welcome to Issue #26 of One Minute AI, your daily AI news companion. This issue discusses an awesome accessibility offering for Android.
Google launches Project Gameface for Android
As part of 2024’s Accessibility Awareness Day, Google has introduced updates to Android to assist those with mobility or vision impairments.
A key highlight is Project Gameface, which allows users to control their devices using facial movements such as raising an eyebrow, moving their mouths, or turning their heads. This feature includes a virtual cursor and customizable gestures, such as defining the beginning and end of a swipe with mouth movements. Google is collaborating with Incluzza in India to test and improve this tool, ensuring it meets the needs of users with limited mobility.
The code for Gameface is open source and available on GitHub.
