Welcome to Issue #19 of One Minute AI, your daily AI news companion. This issue discusses a new update on Copilot Chat from GitHub.
GitHub Copilot Chat in GitHub Mobile is now generally available
GitHub has made its AI coding assistant, GitHub Copilot Chat, generally available on GitHub Mobile. With this integration, developers can now access Copilot Chat from their mobile devices to get answers to coding questions, gain insights into public and private repositories, and collaborate using natural language.
For GitHub Copilot Enterprise users, the customization extends to mobile, allowing developers to direct Copilot to their organization's private repositories and ask questions about the codebase. Getting started is easy - individuals need the GitHub Mobile app and a Copilot license, while enterprise admins can enable it in the Copilot settings. This move makes Copilot ubiquitous for developers, empowering them to build and understand code on the go, lowering barriers to entry, and democratizing access to software development careers.
GitHub plans to continue infusing Copilot across its platform to help 1 billion developers achieve their full potential with code.
