Adobe introduces Firefly Video Model in Premiere Pro
Adobe has introduced its Firefly Video Model, integrated into Premiere Pro, to enhance video editing with AI-generated features. One key tool, Generative Extend, helps users extend video clips by up to two seconds and is ideal for small fixes like adjusting eyeliners or smoothing out movements. While limited to 720p or 1080p resolution, the feature can also extend ambient audio but not music or dialogue.
Adobe also launched Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video tools via a limited public beta, enabling users to create short, five-second clips from text prompts or images. Though restricted in length and resolution, these tools provide creative control over various styles and camera angles. Adobe emphasizes its models are "commercially safe" and the content created is embedded with AI usage credentials, setting it apart from competitors like OpenAI's Sora and Meta's Movie Gen.
